All styles of basketball are on display after two days of play at the Arizona Basketball Challenge.
There's the up and down, fast pace that Dobson guards Jarrett Green and Jerry Harville enjoy that was mixed with half-court play designed to feed inside threat and center Jon Bailey.
Then of course there was Gilbert Highland's up-tempo, offensive-minded game that for a second day in a row broke the 90-point barrier. On Saturday rather than a two-man game with Nick Johnson and Matt Carlino, KC Toolson and Brett Lewis got in on the fireworks helping the Hawks net 10-of-24 three-point shots.
And if its a blue-collar brand of game one likes, Lone Peak and Mountain View gave fans a vintage taste of that with the Toros prevailing in a tenacious defensive game. Mountain View's Eric Hunt and Lone Peak's Tyler Haws scratched and clawed for their 20-plus points apiece in a game far different from most others played Saturday.
With two days left in the tournament, today and Tuesday, there's certain to be more mixing and matching of styles. Come out and enjoy.
